How many people could be employed by bringing manufacturing jobs back to the US?

It seems that every day there is a new report about tainted milk, drugs, toys, etc. manufactured abroad, especially China. Why can’t these products be manufactured in America? Americans would be guaranteed high safety standards. The government could initiate a mive training program. Imagine how many jobs could be created by moving production back home. It would ease unemployment. People would have money to spend. America would once again become a manufacturing nation.
