Why do many earthquakes but few volcanic eruptions occur in the Himalaya?

The Himalayas are a result of two Continental plates colliding. when these types of plates collide earth is pushed up. That is why there are so many earthquakes. There aren't any volcanoes in that area because of the type of collision that is occurring; when two oceanic plates collide, one plate is subducted under the other and magma is exposed and pushed up (a volcano). When an oceanic plate and a continental plate collide the oceanic plate is subducted and, again, magma is exposed and pushed up, again, resulting in a volcano.
